What happens to 'me' when I sleep? - Post 4

"Well, Prof Earlshaw, it seems like yesterday but I happened to glance at our previous post. It was in March 2013. Amazing how neither you nor me have noticed the passage of time! Of course, we agreed that we would continue our conversation online. But I guess, we didn't quite get to it. The few times we spoke on FacetTime, we were so carried away by the intensity of our exchange that we didn't put it down. Now that you are back we are face to face rather then on facetime! Let's note down something of what we discussed. I recall some of it and you could help me reconstruct the rest." I started out.

"Of course, of course," Prof. Earlshaw nodded. "Fortunately for you, I have scribbled out some of it in my notebook. I will mail the same to you later this week. You could use them as you wish."

"That would be great. I also have some notes. We can put together both and integrate the material." I said.

"What has been your experience since we last met here?" I asked.

"Quite much. I mean, quite much that is worth speaking about. To begin with, I have clarified to myself what I spoke earlier as the mind-space. I have been practicing the meditation you introduced me to, the one on breathing. Along with that I have also been fiddling about with that separation of the consciousness from the body that you spoke of. I have been consistently working it out and have obtained some results. But this is more from an inner need than from the intellectual drive I started out with." Prof. Earlshaw paused.
